Sharing our love

I was just reading the Ensign for August and I came upon something the prophet says is so important.

"Give your child a compliment and a hug; say, I love you more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It's so easy to take others for granted, until that day when they're gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of 'what if' and 'if only'. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey and share our love with friends and family. One day, each of us will be out of tomorrows. Let us not put off what is most important. What is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they MUST know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know."

I loved this little piece of advice. I want my husband and son to know how much I truly love them. They mean the world to me. I love the time we spend together and the love they show me. Matt is such a great dad and I love the way those two are together. Dre is so special in every way. He is so sweet and loving! I'm so grateful these two boys are in my life. I want them to always know how much I love and adore them. I hope I can take this advice and never let a day go by without expressing my love for these two, and for all my other family members. I would hate to lose one of them and have a feeling of regret, wondering if they knew how much I loved them. I love my families so much and am so grateful to be in the families that I am.
