Feeding problems
Ok so for the past week Dre has been fussing a lot and acting like his belly hurts. At first I thought it was something I ate and it was just a bad day. Well when it lasted more than a day i got worried but still didn't know what it was. Then my sister Kelli was over and she fed him and she thought he was making a funny noise and taking in air. That would make sense of why he had so many belly aches. I told a friend this and she said he could have a problem with his tongue. He didn't really have a problem with this when I was full time nursing but I'm not nursing that much any more just pumping. And looking back this fussy thing started when I went to pumping. I don't understand why the tongue thing is only bothering him with the bottle. Has this happened to anybody else and what did you do. I'm going to try different bottles and I've elevated his crib but is there anything special I can do. I need help. I've got the rest of the week to figure this out before he goes to a babysitter any suggestion will do. Here's to a good week of trying new things

I think that you are on the right track. I would just try different nipples if you think that is the problem. The only other thing I can think of is trying Gripe Water if you just think his stomach is bothering him. Its all natural and I think that it helps a lot. Good luck girl.
I have heard that they get more air from a bottle so that might be part of is problem, poor little guy. I've heard the Dr. Brown's bottles are good for that. Here is a website about them.

good luck Brooke! You're doing a great job. Does that mean you are back to work in a week?
That doesn't sound fun. Especially right before you go back to work. The Avent bottles are supposed to resemble your nipple. Akoy has done good on those. You might want to try them. They are a little pricey though is the only downfall. When I was having problems nursing, he was doing things wrong with his tongue. This nurse had me put my finger on his tongue and made sure that he was sucking right. He was chomping instead of sucking. Your finger can help them learn to suck right when you stroke it and have him suck. I don't know if that will help. I hope you get it figured out! Let me know if you need anything! It will be fun seeing you back at work! It's weird being the only one back!
so sorry ... its so hard to figure them out. I always used the avent bottles but I know lots of people that say the Dr. Brown bottles help with less air so maybe try either of those! You're such a good mama and he'll figure it out!
I have no knowledge or advice about the feeding thing - but I am sorry that is not fun. but I just had to comment and tell you how stinkin adorable your little man is!!!!!!!! This may be a dumb comment - but have you tired Mylacon drops?? There is a generic cheap brand at Target and they have worked great for tummy aches for my girls!
