Weekend Fun

This past weekend was a busy one. First of all my nephew Lance graduated high school. I can't believe how fast time flies. He is one amazing kid. he got a full ride scholarship to 3 different colleges for academics. I'm so proud of him!

**this is for my memory- while at graduation my 7 year old nephew (pictured above) asked me how George Washington died. I told him I don't know maybe old age or something. Then I asked him if he knew. He said no I was asking you because your the teacher and you should know. I thought it was the funniest, cutest thing ever. I love my Griffin!

Then it was the last day of school. Hooray! Now the fun begins though. I have to have 8 weeks of lesson plans done for maternity leave:( But on the last day of school our principal takes us all out to lunch. This is a pic of the girls I work with and love. We have a great team! They keep me sane throughout the year! This is a pic with my awesome aide. She was so amazing all year. Whenever I needed something she was right there to do it. She loved those kids and would bring them things for each holiday and the kids just love her. I sure hope I'm fortunate enough to have her next year. Then on Saturday it was Matt's 28th Bday! I was finally able to surprise him this year. I usually don't. We usually just go shopping together. I got him a new gold bag, and some things for his ipod. Here he is so happy to be posing for a pic. Love ya Babe!

Way to go Lance! Have a great summer Brooke. Are you going to teach again next year or are you 'retiring' to parenthood?

Don't worry to much about lesson plans. I tried so hard to be prepared for missing school and I still went in once a week and got things ready once Gavin was here. It was so much easier that way. I had an outline and just went from there.

Aww! Your team picture is just cute. I miss those girls. I second the motion that you really shouldn't worry too much about the lesson plans. (In my experience, nothing I laid out to do got done anyway!) Just relax by the pool, go out on a lot of dates, and enjoy your sleep until the baby comes.
