Grandpa G

On Jan. 3 my grandpa G passed away.  They held the funeral the 11th and 12th of January.  I went with my family up to Idaho on Friday.  We stopped at Maddox for lunch then when we got there we went to the viewing.  It was so good to see cousins that I have not seen in a really long time.  Then we brought the kids back to the hotel and let them swim.  When they were asleep we played games.  Then we woke up and went to the funeral.  It was really neat.  My grandpa was a great man, and you could really feel the love in the room.  My mom talked and did a wonderful job.  I was so proud of her.  I really liked the part were she talked about a song my grandpa used to play on his guitar to her about his little girls.  It really touched me.  My uncle also played "O my Father" on the guitar and struggled to get through the last verse which brought the spirt even stronger.  I know my grandpa is in heaven watching over us and I'm so grateful for the knowledge that families are forever.  Then we headed to Riverdale where my grandpa was buried.  It is by Logan and since my dad grew up there we always loved going to a pizza place there called fredrico's.  It was such a great weekend.  I love my family so much and am so glad I was able to spend this very special time together.
