Yep, that's a sharp knife

Yesterday morning was a little tramatic for me. I was cleaning up the kitchen and came to the pan of rice krispie treats. They had gotten hard so I started to dig them out with a knife. You can only guess what I'm going to say happened next. Yep, my hand slipped from under the rice krispie treat and went right into my right hand. We are talking all the way through. I freaked cause I saw so much blood and it was squirting. I called for Matt, told him I was going to die. Well, I wouldn't say told. I was screaming. I panicked and called the ambulence. Looking back that was stupid and embarrassing but in the moment I was in complete shock and freaking out. Matt knew right away to wrap it up and put pressure on it. The ambulence cleaned it a little and wrapped it up. We then went to the ER. They cleaned it out even more numbed it and stitched it up. The doc told me he called the hand surgeon and since I could move and feel my fingers that I probably did no damage to my tendons or nerves. Lucky me!!! They put a splint on it and I have to go see the surgeon on Monday to check to make sure everything is ok in my hand. To top it off I had to get a tetanus shot. This could have turned out so much worse. I could have had to have surgery. I'm still in shock about the whole thing. I can't believe I put a knife right through my hand. How stupid can I be? We were leaving for st George too. We decided to still come. We weren't going to let this stop our first trip together as a family.
