-17 Months-

This kid just gets cooler and cooler. I can not get enough. Is it ok to be obsessed with your child. Being home with Dre for two weeks was amazing. I don't know if it was just him being 17 months or if I was able to just notice more, but he is talking up a storm. He has grown up so much this month its crazy! He is the best little boy and minds so well for the most part. He is already so helpful and when I ask him to do something he mostly understands. He is so sweet and gives the best hugs and kisses. He makes the kissing sound every time you kiss him. One of my favorite things Dre does is when I'm going to put him down we start to walk to his room and he has to look for Matt and wave or blow kisses to him. Every night without fail he does this and I just love it. He is full of life and loves to run around the house. He loves to read books and brings me books to read every night. He loves buzz and elmo right now. He loves to wrestle with his boy cousins, but mostly his daddy. He loves to make faces with daddy in the mirror He has the best smile ever!

Dre loves to talk on the phone. He will put his hand up to his ear if he doesn't have a phone and will say "hello" so cute! other words Dre is saying: hi, buzz, cookie (in a cookie monster voice) oh no (when he drops something), ball, socks, Dre, grandpa (once) moma, dada, no no (shakes his head), thank you (when you hand him something), he will pretty much repeat anything daddy says too. He also knows where his head, nose, eyes, and belly button are.this is my favorite pic of him lately.

Dre still sleeps like a champ. When we were on break he would go down at 7 and wake up at 9 and still take a 2 hr nap. That was heaven to be able to sleep in. He is still a picky eater. He likes to feed himself and he is getting better with a fork. If I let him hold a fork I can feed him too. He also likes to be watching tv while he eats and it helps distract him so I can give him food he doesn't like. He loves watching elmo, toy story, yo gabba gabba, and believe it or not the Brady Bunch. Don't ask me why??

I feel so blessed to be Dre's mom. He is one special little boy. I love my little family and loved spending two weeks with both of them. I love watching Matt and Dre play. Dre laughs so hard when he is playing with daddy.
