Christmas 2013

Our Christmas break was riddled with sickness.  We still had a great time being together and not having to go to work.  I guess it was better to be sick over the break instead of school and having to worry about subs.  I started to get a cough the last couple of days before the break, but didn't think anything of it because that is all that it was.  I was able to meet up with my mom to do some last minute shopping and get the traditional Santa picture at the mall.

So we were able to go to Matt's grandma's Christmas party.  Well, I just took the boys.  Instead of Santa this year, she hired the Grinch.  He was so good!  All the kids loved him and he teased them all.  It was great.

The Monday before Christmas I took the boys to see Frozen while Matt was at work.  It was awesome!  We had so much fun.  It was Jordan's first movie.  That is my new favorite movie.

Christmas was great!  We were able to stay home in the morning with just our little family and Dre was so excited for all the presents.  He walked out and saw all that Santa had brought.  He loved it.  He loved helping Jordan look at all his stuff too.  They both got spoiled like usual.  Here are a gazillion pictures of Christmas in no particular order

After we opened all our presents we headed to my parents house for our annual Christmas breakfast and opening presents.  I gave my mom and a dad a calendar that I made of all the family.  I was so excited to give it to them.  They loved it.

Then we headed to Matt's parents to visit with everyone.  Then we spent the rest of the day at home playing with our toys.  The next day Dre woke up with a fever and cough.  I took him to the doctor the next day and he had the flu.  Then that night Jordan woke up with a fever.  So I took him to the doctor. He just had a bad cold.  They wrote me a subscription to take him into respiratory therapy if he needed it.  He ended up needing it twice.  Then we all had coughs and runny noses except for Matt for the next week of the break.  Then the Saturday before we were going back to school Dre got a fever and I started feeling a head cold coming on.  We took Dre back to the doctor and he had an ear infection, so I ended up taking the first 2 days back off.  Luckily Jordan didn't get the second round.  Then this past weekend I got a sinus infection.  We are all finally feeling better but we have had better breaks then this one.  In between the sicknesses Matt and I went out on a date.  We went to dinner at outback and shopping at Hobby Lobby.  It was so nice to get out and be alone.
