Thanksgiving this year was spent at the Downs'.  It is always fun to get together with Matt's family.  Dre has a blast with his cousins.  We ate yummy food, visited, and the kids had fun playing together.  This year it was so nice outside so the kids were able to play outside most of the day which was nice.  Dre loved chasing the kids around with his light saber that he picked out from grandma's treasure chest.  Then Marina had a good idea to have the kids cut out pictures of things they want from the ads to mail to Santa.  They had a blast doing this.  We also talked everyone into doing a big family picture.  The last time they had a family picture was when JJ was going on his mission, so like 5 years ago.  I think it turned out really well for not having a tripod to put the camera on.

That night I went black friday shopping with my mom and sisters like usual.  I'm so mad cause I never get pictures of this event and it is one of my favorite nights out of the whole year.  I love being with my sisters and mom all night and we also got some good deals this year so that made it even better.

Then on Friday we put up our tree and decorations.  Another one of my favorite things to do this time of year.  This year Dre got really into helping us put the tree up and he had so much fun putting ornaments on the tree.  This year he picked out a spiderman, and he loves looking at it and touching it.  I also messed around with trying to get a pic of my tree at night.  I didn't do that good but Matt knew I wanted a cool pic so when I went to bed he got the camera out and caught this great pic.
