Week 10/Dre's 3rd Birthday

Week 10 consisted of us celebrating Dre's birthday. We had such a fun day with him. On Sunday, the day before his birthday, we had a party at my parents house. It was so fun to let Dre have 2 different parties and celebrate for a couple of days. He got lots of fun gifts so thanks to everyone who gave him a gift. He loves them! He got a pirate ship, markers and paint set, guns, Buzz Lightyear shirt, sleeping bag, clothes, remote control Batman car, spiderman stuffed doll, spiderman cars and figures, and his favorite was the spiderman hand that makes shooting web sounds.

On his actual birthday he woke up to a room full of balloons and a Star Wars banner. He was in heaven. The first thing he did when he came out of his room was say, "dad look at all my balloons!" It was so cute. Then he sat there and played with the balloons. (p.s. the balloons are still in his room and he still loves playing with them.) Then I heard that Boondocks lets the birthday child have an unlimited pass to all the attractions. So we spent the day up there doing bumper boats, race cars, mini golf, games, and play space. Then we ate lunch up there too. It was so fun being together with our little family and giving so much attention to Dre. Then that night we had Matt's parents and his brother Steve over for pizza, presents, and cake. Dre called it his Star Wars party. All day we kept saying happy birthday and I think by the end of the day he understood. He remembers to say he is 3 now and holds up three fingers like the ok sign.
