Dre is one year old and I can't believe it. I wanted to write on his day and it is getting late. We just got done with his bday party and pictures are coming later but we had a blast. All the families were there to help celebrate. Dre sure has a lot of people who love him and we feel so blessed for that. I've been thinking a lot about what we have gone through over the past year and how much Dre has changed our lives. He is the best thing that has ever happened to us. I feel so blessed to be his mother. He is the sweetest most special guy in the world. His personality is the best and he makes me so happy.

Some things about Dre at 1 year
*Walks with a walker, us, and along couches. He could probably walk but is afraid to take that first step
*Sits forward facing in car. I had to do this the other day cause Matt had the other carseat and he loved it so we just left him
*Sleeps from 8-9:30. That will be changing once school starts though. No more sleeping in.
*Eats 3 meals a day. Loves mac and cheese, quisidillas, fish sticks, sweet potatoes, squash, all fruit pretty much, toast. I do need more ideas on food though.
*loves loves loves balls. He crawls around with a ball in his hand. I think sometimes he forgets that its even in his hand.
*loves to push cars around the floor but gets frustrated when they fall over and they are not on the wheels anymore.
*has to knock down every tower we build with blocks. He does not like them stacked at all.
*when he gets mad he bangs his head on the floor. He hits hard sometimes and starts to cry from that. Double whammy:(
*he hits himself with his toys all the time cause he thinks its funny. He will do it and then laugh.
*Chases Snoop around and takes Snoops toys away from him but if Snoop takes his toys away from him he gets mad
*in the car he will dance to every song that comes on by either pumping his chest or head banging
*loves the remote, yo gabba gabba, and the animals on the phones still
*on the app we have flashcards for animals and he loves the lion on it and now he makes the sound for lion. In our bathroom we have a jungle theme and there are lions so whenever we go in there he automatically makes the lion sound
*when we get ready to leave and go through the room to the garage he automatically starts waving bye
*got a new tooth today. That makes 5 teeth total by his 1st bday
loves to just crawl around all day and talks to himself while doing so.

I just can't believe it has been a year already. It's crazy to think that a year ago I was holding him for the first time. I love him more and more each day and it just gets better and better. It's so fun to watch him grow but I wish it would slow down:(
