Happy Half Birthday Baby Boy/Superbowl

That's right my baby boy is 6 months old. We went for his sixth month check up yesterday and he did pretty well with the shots he only cried for a minute and then fell asleep. His stats are 17 lbs (44%) and 28.5 in (96%) He is still tall and skinny. I love this little guy so much. It was so fun to be home yesterday with him. He makes me so happy. He is the best baby. I know longer rock him to sleep. When he is ready he gets a little fussy and you go put him down and he goes right to sleep. He is going to bed between 6 or 7 and sleeping until I wake him in the morning. I still feed him around 9 but he is asleep for that. So he sleeps for 12 hrs. On the weekend he will eat at 7 in the morning then go back to bed til 10am. I feel spoiled to have such an awesome sleeper! I also don't have a picture yet but I'm on the lookout for a picture with him and Snoop. He loves the dog. I think he loves the dog more than us. Whenever he hears him he stops what he is doing and looks for the dog. It's pretty cute! He is making some pretty crazy noises lately and sticks out his tongue a ton. Then he blows through it and spits every where. When he gets really excited he shakes his head from side to side. He also makes a panting sound. If you do any of these things he starts to copy you. All I can say is this has been the best 6 months ever. I can not get enough of my baby!Dre loves food!!! We started mixing fruits and veggies into the rice and he can't get enough. he already has his mouth open before you can even scoop up another bite. He likes peas, squash, carrots (now, wasn't a big fan at first), beans, all fruit except bananas. We introduced the sippy cup last week and he loves it. He can even hold it by himself. We just fill it with a little juice or water.Dre's hair is getting out of control. It doesn't lay flat all the time, but it doesn't stick straight up either. There is also lots of patches. Matt tells me everyday he is going to shave it and I keep telling him no because I'm not ready to have him lose his baby hair. I think this is a battle I'm going to lose though. He better just wait to shave it so I can get pictures.
Dre is finally starting to like belly time. We will put him on his back and within half a second he is already on his belly. He can pull himself up using his hands so he can look around. He is starting to scoot and push off his legs a little bit. He will probably crawl in a month or so. (I'm fine with this, I love that he can't quite get around yet) Also in the pic above he is sucking his thumb. I catch him doing it and I always pull it out and give him something else. I do not want a thumb sucker.

On to the Superbowl. We had our annual Downs party at Keven and Melissa's. OF course they were great hosts. We had great food, a great view (thanks to their huge screen) and great company. It's fun because all the guys have something to do while the girls get to visit. We put Dre down in his car seat up stairs and we got to enjoy the second half. Thanks for the great party and great memories!!!!!
