One Week...WOW!

I will be taking his pic with this giraffe to see how much he grows throughout his first year, so this is week one. He looks so small!
wide awake and sooooo cute!
I can't believe it has been a week already. Dre is amazing and I can't believe he is mine. He has been doing better with sleeping which I'm so glad. He wakes up every 3 hrs basically and feeds then goes back to sleep. His newborn clothes barely fit him but when I took him to his doc appt yesterday he was basically back to birth weight. The doc said he was a healthy active little boy. I was so glad to hear that. I love just looking at him and talking to him. I love that he can hear my voice and will move his head to find it. I'm learning to adjust to waking up every few hrs. (I love my sleep) but I wouldn't change a thing. This week has been the best week and a challenging week. My hormones have been going crazy and I'll just find myself crying for no reason. I love what Dre has brought into my life and I can't wait to see what he has in store for me.

Brooke, don't worry about the crying. It's normal. You are so tired, and even though you are happy it's totally overwhelming. If you get to the point that you can't eat or sleep at all, be sure to call your dr. He is a doll. Email me if you want to chat about the crying--

I had post partum depression after I had Margot and Tate. Crying is normal, but if it gets worse than you need to make sure you tell your dr.

Glad to hear it's going well.

oh and I just read your birth story - SO SORRY. My epidural wore off too, but I certainly didn't have to push that long. The second one goes MUCH smoother . . . from my experience. But - we both know whatever it takes would be worth it! You are amazing!
