Yesterday we had our annual 1st grade Polar express Day. It's always such a fun day, but a lot of work. This year we made it even better. We went all out. First of all, we had our principal dress up as the conductor and we even had a booth for him to take tickets. He also read the story of the Polar Express.

Then during the reading of the book we stopped on the part where the children got hot cocoa and we had the student council dress as elves and serve the kids hot cocoa and cookies. While the song from the movie played.

Then at the end of the book where they meet Santa we had hired a Santa to come. each child sat on his lap and received a bell. I had to get a picture with my cute class!

The teachers needed a picture with Santa, don't you agree!

This is what the train looked like with the projector of the book on the wall. It was amazing!
